Early Intervation Programs

An early intervention program is a service that provides support and care to young children and their families who have developmental delays or disabilities. The goal is to help children reach their learning, play, growth, speech, and walking abilities.

Early intervention programs may include: speech therapy, physical therapy, and other services based on the child's and family's needs.

The requirements for participating in an early intervention program vary by state. Generally, children must have a developmental delay or a health condition that could cause a delay.
